I think that is the problem, yes. Lennon himself never pretended to be otherwise, but some of his fans or of the Beatles' fan, see him like a perfect, saintly being. I can see how it could get on people's nerves. I think it would have gotten on his nerves, lol.

I just don't understand how you could be even a casual fan of the Beatles and not notice what John was like! But yeah, I'm sure he'd think it was the wrong way to look at things as well.
