He also could have just been going, "Okay, hopefully this'll go away on its own" or something? Ten-year-olds get crushes, decide they're OMG IN LOVE, and it's gone the next month. He may not have wanted to embarrass her over it. Not saying it's the absolute right thing to do, but no character is perfect *shrug*

And I do, sorry. I haven't watched CCS in years, but I did have a soft spot for Yukito when I watched it, and I wasn't really sure about the logic of your only named reason being that Sakura had a crush on him.
