OH GOD TOTALLY. I mean, when one can't decide between Rinali / Linali / Lenalee / Lanalee (yes, I have seen that DX) or some other variation floating in the magical name abyss, it's time to give the girl a nice, normal name for the love of god.

And 'Lavi' still makes me think of lavatory.

I wrote one Death Note fic back in the day, and I'm really surprised that no one has written in to tell me that it should be LIGHT, GODDAMMIT in the two years or so it's been up.

But yeah, read the scanlations first, and Raito was what everyone was calling him at the time. Shit, people get worked up over weird stuff.

Lovely random trivia:
In Windows XP, go to the Start Menu and look this up -
Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map.
In the Character Map program, make sure you have all the availiable foreign laguage packs installed from your Windows XP disc. Then you will be able to see the "Bookman Old Style" and "Raavi" fonts. I'm sure that Hoshino got some of the D. Gray-man names from there.
