5. I've been there before; not a great place to visit. I'd explain, but why bother when that secret parallels it so well? I'd sound like I'm just reiterating what you already said.

The best thing you can do is forget about it, and distance yourself from her. Don't defend yourself; it'll cause both of you pain and heartache that neither of you deserve. Real-life drama always brings out the worst in people, and maybe after the worst of it is over for her she'll come back and try to fix it.

i don't really want her to try to fix it, though. she treated me horribly. that friendship is well over. unfortunately, none of our mutual friends have any idea what happened.
