I'm 28, and I still love Jem. I'm kind of hoping showing it on TV again means someday we might get a reboot or something, but at the same time I'm so worried about them wrecking it. Stormer was my favorite, I can remember as a kid I always wished she'd leave the Misfits and have a solo career or something.

I was obsessed with Jem back in the day, but I think I'm a little younger than other fans, and only saw the repeats, so I don't remember much in the way of storylines, just that I *needed* to see every episode I could.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't decided to do a live-action movie remake, given you could probably get the post-Hannah Montana crowd as well as the nostalgia brigade out in droves. It'd probably be beyond terrible, though.

I think a reboot would be good depending on who they put to work on it. Someone who respects the material, and knows it really well could do a great job. I think the main problem is Jem unfortunately falls into the dreaded "girl's show" category, and people seem to think girl's shows need to be horribly dumbed down most of the time.

I actually let out a squee when I saw that the Hub was airing Jem now. It hasn't aged very well (the clothes! the makeup!) and my original opinion that the Misfits had better songs has changed into the Misfits had much, much, *MUCH* better songs but I'm right with you on the secret. Kimber/Stormer is practically canon after that one episode and there's so much potential angst/pyschological/dark material in the Jerrica/Rio/Jem not-really a triangle love triangle.

OMG, I barely read your secret because I was so excited to see a Jem secret *period*. I was obsessed with this show when I was in college and taped it every day so I could watch it when I came home.
