Jon IS baseborn, by the dictionary definition. Using a euphemism isn't going to magically change that truth.

I suppose OP could have said a child of born of unwed parents, but...that doesn't really make any sense in this particular fandom. I mean, have you seen the things GRRM writes? Using the nicest term in the book to refer to someone as what they actually, factually, are considered to be IN THE BOOK seems pretty okay to me.
