Why don't you find her and talk to her? It's never too late to clear the air anon, and she might be really missing you too. What's happened is behind you now and you can both learn from it to make your future friendship stronger.

Hopefully you both still share and interest in KH, too? If not, that's alright, you can talk about your new fandoms and what you've been up to while you've been apart.

God I wish this was about me ^^; I had basically the same experience with an ex/best friend in high school. We've grown up and gone to college now, I moved out of state and she stayed there. It's funny... I had a dream about her last night as well....
