Anytime the word privilege is used in that context, I immediately stop caring about anything that person has to say.

DA, but... I think you need to be informed just as much.

It's not "privilege" if it's an observation of something that's very real and actually happening. Just like how in some parts of the world, sadly, it is still a crime to be black, there are some people who are trying to "turn the tables" (and many of them are, sadly, self-hating white folk) and make it just as much of a crime to be white. Especially around the internet; if the trolls catch a hold of the fact that you're white, you're fucked. (See this secret, for example.) Everything you say, all your experiences, everything about you as a person immediately becomes invalid... because of your skin color.

It is not "privileged" to not want to experience this. It is not privilege to think that you shouldn't be judged based entirely off the pigments in your skin shade. It's human nature. And if you disagree, then I'd like to ask you to go tell all those black people, who are still fighting for their rights today even though they really shouldn't fucking have to in the first place, that they are privileged for not wanting to deal with it. Because otherwise, you're just another fucking hypocrite with no idea how much damage you're doing to what should be a wonderful cause.
