She's 'girly' and likes fashion and generally... feminine things. People don't seem to like that. Which is... troublesome in its own way.

Aw, but Fluttershy likes those things too! I guess she's less 'in your face' about it.

I can think of some legitimate reasons not to like Rarity (especially if you're not the type to forgive her rather unpleasant behavior in 'Sonic Rainboom'), they've just never bothered me because she usually has to own up to her mistakes. Plus she's just generally a fabulous pony!

Different strokes for different folks, I've never been a huge Rainbow Dash fan.

Yeah, Flutter is more subtle and less melodramatic, I think.

Which honestly, it was her melodrama that won me over. XD

But honestly... I'm very snotty about some characters in other fandoms, but I don't understand how anyone could hate ANY of the ponies. I love them all.

I guess it's because Fluttershy is so fucking insecure. People like insecure girlies. Now if you're a loud, dominant girly girl you're just a bitch for many folks :/

There's nothing wrong with liking fashion, as long as you're not a sheep. Rarity sets trends. She's an artist. And she's not "girly," she's ~*~FABULOUS~*~!
