Right now you've got this self-perpetuating misery routine set up. You are constantly comparing yourself to other people who you percieve are better than you. By doing this, you downgrade your own talents and inputs into fandom. I mean, framed this way, you lose: you don't get as many people on your f-list, you don't have as many people reviewing your stories or looking at your art work. Maybe you don't feel comfortable submitting anything to fandom, for fear of being judged poorly.
So then you go and find some reason to judge the people you know in your heart you don't stack up to as being worse than you. But that doesn't really make you any more confident, because it just emphasises what you see are physical reasons not to like yourself.
That's just a perscription for feeling shitty about yourself.
Try to stop comparing yourself to other people. Make this not about how other people see you, but what makes you happy. People are douches to you -- they are lousy people who don't deserve your attention. People who write fic you like, they've given you a service. You don't have to be the best at anything to be liked. Happiness isn't linked to how many people are on your f-list, but rather on how much time you spend talking to and doing the things you like.
Stop judging yourself, and you'll stop judging other people. Stop judging other people, and you'll find it a lot easier to forgive yourself for not being perfect.
