ikr? They have it set in New York City, that doesn't even make sense. And I don't know if this is still the plan, but they wanted RPattz as a male lead. Why?

Wait really? The last time I heard anything I thought DiCaprio was supposed to be the male lead. I'm not sure which is worse.

I hadn't heard that, but I will definitely take DiCaprio over Pattinson. That is saying so very little though.

The latest I've heard (which, admittedly, was a few months ago) was that Pattinson, Andrew Garfield (ilu Garfield, but I'm not sure about this at all) and Chris Pine were being considered to be cast.

Of course, that's all speculation and Akira has been in production Hell for years, so I'm not even convinced that it will be made at all

Yeah, but it's not dead yet either.

And I'm far more scared that that movie will exist then I am that this movie won't be good.

Oh, I agree. Nothing I've heard so far indicates that this won't be the worst movie ever, so I'm pretty much praying that it just doesn't come into existence at all

Nothing about that movie made sense. It could possibly eclipse Avatar as the new penultimate shitty failue.

I'm not sure if Avatar is truly that, but many know it as such. Though Priest might compete, it's just nobody actually fucking read Priest.
