imho, since she's a cook, it's probably a burn. but i'm glad that you think of her as a role model, since she's a strong female in a male-dominated environment (which animation is).

and who knows, maybe you'll find your place as an indie animator, who may not work for pixar, but can make films about issues like this.

Yeah, it's probably from a hot kettle or something. I have a nearly-identical one, in the exact same place and everything, that I got from a cookie sheet.

I have multiple scars running across my wrist that are actually chemical burns from this really shitty job I used to have to work at. I worry sometimes that people might think I was a cutter, but I quite like the OP's private fanon (also, look at how deft she is with handling knives, and sharpening them). Colette would be a great role-model as a recovered self-harmer!


To the OP:
Some examples of physical self-harm that I can think of in animation would be the accidental cut Ms. Brisby gets in Secret of Nimh, and the blood signatures in We're Back: A Dinosaur's story. I know it's not much, but... :)
