(Anonymous) 2011-08-20 03:33 am (UTC)(link)People who like cheese will probably not write torture porn fanfiction about cheese and force you to read it and won't draw cheese/cracker slash and then send it to the cheese dairy.
I have no clue about the TGWTG fandom, because I'm not in it and only occasionally watch videos on that side, but there is no denial that certain fandoms are just more obnoxious than others.
PS: I actually hate people for liking fish. My family is fish-crazy and whenever they cook fish the entire house stinks for hours! :P

and was like :O because the same thing happened to me! I loooved fish, but... IDK, it was really weird. I don't hate it, but one day I just started going "nah, no thanks" when I was offered some fried fish, and since then I've been avoiding it rather than gobbling it up like I used to. And the smell disgusts me now, when before I was like "mmm can't wait to eat it". Weird!

ITA about some fandoms being incredibly obnoxious. There are a couple ships that I am neutral on, to being strongly opposed against, but it's the shippers that make those pairings ten times worse, to me. I personally haven't seen much of that behavior in TGWTG fandom, but yeah, there really does seem to be a regular amount of hate for the source material whenever a secret pops up. Hmm.
