I wouldn't knock the happy pills, though! Considering I have been on them and they did help to some extent, though they didn't really work out for me - my psychiatrist was a really good guy who heavily emphasized pairing therapy with medicine. And some people just can't deal with it on their own and literally need medication like that to give them the will to live, because their depression is so soulcrushingly consuming otherwise. Sometimes it's just a necessity. That isn't me, but I have known people with depression that severe.

Though I'm sure there's some doctors that do just throw pills at a person and assume that'll make all the difference, it shouldn't be discredited or anything! :)

I know there are those that pills are immensely helpful for and that is all good and well but then it seems like there are a much larger number of people that just believe taking pills will solve all their problems.

It's a deep and touchy subject to be sure and I'm not trying to make light of anyone's problems. It was just nice to see something that struck a chord with how I also try and deal with things sometimes. When most would look at "Running away" as a weakness I say anything that beings you happiness is a strength all on its own.

Have you ever tried any of the "Rune Factory" Harvest Moons? I very much enjoy those too =)

Yeah, I figured you weren't trying to make light of it or anything, I just have run into people who believe that pills are inherently bad or that everyone can push through depression without them. Not saying you think that! It's obvious you don't, I just have seen that attitude sometimes so I try to emphasize wherever I can that while pills are often overprescribed, there are scenarios where they can be necessary or just outright helpful.

I've played the first one for DS, it was fun! I haven't tried the others yet though, maybe I should.

Right, it really is a case by case basis with most things like that. :)

If you enjoyed the first one then you'd definitely like the 2nd! I'm playing the 3rd one right now and it's a different main character but it's pretty good so far!
