No, you're right, that's a really sweet and beautiful scene! Wet Hot American Summer is super-silly, but it also has a lot of heart, which is part of what makes it so funny. It's awesome.

totally not just you. And I LOVE that movie for the comedy it is (but for real, I so love that the ONE sex scene in it is a gay one, and it's sweet as hell)
