Idk, there was a wip in one of my fandoms that sat un-updated for about a year and then the author took it down because they were never planning on updating it. I would give just about anything to have that half-finished story back. ;_;

That's why, when I was more heavily into reading fanfic, I always made a point to save my favorites into Word docs. They stuff never really disappears from the Internet, but that is bull.
