Any fic that wanted to keep the pretext of canon-compatability would surely have to have a lot of explaining as to what happened to the rest of the in the time that it took for any of the kids to grow up?

well the answer is that most of this fic is purely speculative and takes place in AU-space from what i've seen

people just like to think about what the kids would be like when they're older and whether rose would be a social worker and stuff

Don't forget though! If you make an AU, it's an alternate timeline. Which means everybody in the entire universe just DIED HORRIBLY for your ship.
