They didn't end together? :( I don't know what happened in the US version, but I was a big fan of the original tv series and I'd have been heartbroken too if Armando and Betty hadn't been a happy couple at the end of the story. When I'm watching this kind of stories I want a happy end.

Didn't Daniel ask her on a date in the series finale...? Or am I crazy?

I still liked them just as bffs in any case, tbh. It was one of those pairings that I shipped in fanfic but didn't really want to become canon. I get tired of the trope in tv shows that a girl and guy who are close friends must eventually become romantically involved.

That's Gio, isn't it? Yeah, I was...not the biggest fan of their relationship when it happened, but I did like him, so.

But anyway, I kind of liked that she didn't ride off into the sunset with anyone as a sure thing. I mean the stuff with Daniel is implied, but it's not like that was her final reward.

I kinda liked Betty/Gio, but their personalities didn't mesh very well tbh. I think I can comfort myself with the fact that Gio was able to his own happy ending with someone else. (I believe she was a baker, lol. How fitting~)

I think Betty and Gio made fantastic friends, and seeing them both exasperate each other was pretty fun at times. But I really don't think they would have had the best relationship.

I was more of a fan of Gio/Betty as friends, but what really got me was when it seemed like Betty/Henry had been more or less wrapped up (and nicely done, too, I thought) and then they had to fuck with my poor, resigned shipper heart at the end by bringing him back for one episode and then sinking the ship for real. I was pretty pissed that I got my hopes up for nothing right at the end, but at least Betty/Daniel didn't get canonized at the end. (That's what I tell myself, anyway. Even though I would have been happier if they'd been able to make it to the end without *any* Betty/Daniel, tbh)
