On Livejournal it seems like "panfandom" and "multifandom" means "Supernatural and maybe some Buffy and Law&Order SVU." Nothing wrong with that except dammit this community sounds interesting and there's not a single fic for a show I've seen.
So...then, I guess I'm with you, OP.

Pretty much this. I got all excited 'cause THISISMYFETISH.gif and was sorely disappointed by the lack of fandom variety (the only one I'm vaguely familiar with is Supernatural, but I watched it years ago and am completely apathetic about it), but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Maybe this is a sign to get cracking on some of the kink meme prompts I kind of want to fill and make a sock and post them there, especially since they're for dead fandoms...
