There's all types in Japan, you know. I know a lot of young women who are totally gaga for K-pop idols and studying Korean and the whole nine yards but there's also a lot of old conservative racist stogers. Among young people I think people are more receptive than not, though.

If you want to go to Japan you have to accept the mixed bag. And honestly no foreigners are going to get fully "accepted" into Japan in the near future. They'll always see you as an outsider. And that goes for anyone who isn't 100% born and raised and ethnically Japanese. If you can handle that, though, you can still live well there and make lots of friends.
