Hmm, if you visit forums or even browse through /a/ there's usually some T&B discussion. Fics are kind of a weird thing, because the only places I know to find them are AO3/kink meme/LJ. There's a bunch of crossposting that goes on after people deanon, so that might contribute to people commenting less. And fanart often gets lots of reviews in fandoms anyway.

The kink meme is weird, because I've poked my head in there recently and there's a disparity between the number of fills to prompts. My experience with Part 1 was that it was very active, but Part 2 seems not quite as?

While tumblr is great for T&B reblogs, as someone who prefers LJ/forums the fandom experience isn't really all that limited. I noticed what I find on pixiv, /a/, animesuki, blogs, and LJ are all stuff that shows up at tumblr later on. Even the fanartists on tumblr usually have their own sites or repost here so it's not that bad!
