Well, you can look at it this way. 6,000 people are protesting. However, they are protesting because there appears to be a great amount of Korean media products on Japanese television, indicating that demand for them is high. Their popularity among Fuji TV viewers likely means there is a Japanese fan base greatly outnumbering the naysayers.

Age probably factors into this. I would bet anything a large number of the protesters are from an older generation. It's the younger generation that forms the consumer base for K-media.
