I always get really sad when my party dies, and I shut off the game before game-over happens because I can't stand the thought of everyone dying ;-;

I can't imagine letting my generics die. Having to retrain a new one from level one with no skills, especially late in the game...!!

Um... wut.

Letting your characters die in a video game is not a reflection of how you treat them IRL, especially because in Tactics you have three rounds to save them. I mean, in your case it apparently WAS a reflection, but.

That's the fun part! I love doing this, especially with Pokemon. Not exactly the same thing as with FFT, duh, but yeah. Hooray for imagination giving commons/generics more life.

Holy crap, Tactics secret! To this day, this game is one of my favorites ever--I was always super protective of my party members too...it was more a function of really getting into Ramza's role though, getting engrossed in his story and thinking 'these people rely on me to make the right decisions.'

I feel this way about all the tactics game I play, especially for Fire Emblem. I can't even count how many times I've restarted so a character I'll never use and don't really care about won't die.
