I've seen all of.. three episodes? (And not even, because my brother watches it and sometimes I'm just in the same room reading or on the computer.) But now I see and ship it. Crap.

So, I used to be a big iCarly fan, but then I stopped watching and I saw my first episode in two years the other day, the one where Seddie becomes canon.
I want to like Seddie... but I don't. I respect people who ship it, I've just never been into the love-hate thing. Well, that's not true, actually- I love the love-hate thing if the people in it are EQUAL in the loving and hating. That's what I like about Ron/Hermione in Harry Potter- they were equally snarky to each other, it wasn't one of them bullying the other. And after they both came to terms with their feelings for each other, the petty arguing pretty much stopped- in DH, there was the fight about Ron leaving, and if I recall correctly, that was it, showing that they do get along, their sexual tension and confusion about their feelings was just getting in the way.
WIth Seddie, the way Sam treats Freddie squicks me out; it reminds me way too much of how I was treated in middle school. Which is totally my issue and obviously doesn't have anything to do with other people's shipping; not trying to start a ship war.
So, to get to the part that's related to the secret, I like Spencer/Sam! It's really cute and sweet in a Sam-crushing-on-Spencer way, but I'd prefer it with her a little older. Spencer is 11-12 years older than the kids, right? (I remember him being 26 in the season when they were in 9th grade, so about 14-15...)

Seddie weirds me out for exactly the same reason. Sam's just so damn abusive to Freddie it's not even funny (well, YMMV).

Yeah. I mean, I guess I find it funny sometimes, but for that I have to completely view the show as just comedy and not be emotionally attached to the characters at all, and then I can't really ship characters I don't care about.
It really is a YMMV thing... it's fiction, of course, but even in fiction, that kind of abuse really bothers me. If Sam had some humbling moment or just apologized or something, or had to do something to earn Freddie's trust and love (rather than people debating whether she was crazy for wanting him. What?) I would have liked it if, after that whole "am I crazy" debate was over, Freddie said "Well, that's all well and good, but you kind of treat me like crap and deciding that you also want to make out with me doesn't really make it any better. Sorry 'bout that."

Yes, Seddie is weird. The three main kids have such a sibling chemistry that is kinda grosses me out to imagine them in relationships with each other. Spencer/Sam all the way!

In my heart of hearts Sam/Carly is the way to go, but I could see this one working out too.

Sometimes I have no idea how to put into words how I feel about shipping this couple. I know I really probably shouldn't considering the age difference and the fact that Seddie is cannon now (I think? IDK, haven't watched it lately). But these two... just, these two...

I've shipped them hardcore from the very beginning. The actors just have this weirdly amazing chemistry, and the characters themselves seem to effortlessly fit each other's personalities. Anyone have any fic recs?

I don't have fic recs, but I saw a behind the scenes clip a while back of the actors and they do have this weirdly kickass chemistryu going on.

The problem I found with fics is that everyone has to age progress Sam and I freaking hate that. She's a 16-17 year old girl who is streetsmart and has been through a lot. Spencer is such a delayed adult that to me, it's not like shipping people with a 12 year age difference. There are some good ones on FF.net, but again, the problem with them is most of them are age progressed. Let me look up some stuff though.

Dude, their interactions were what made the show for me when I watched it with my little sister years back. I don't follow the show or whatever, but it was always my headcanon when I did watch it that Sam had a crush on Spencer. It always seemed like that, too. I'd be cool with a relationship later in life or whatever, but it always seemed like Sam had a crush on Spencer.

But yeah, when the news about Sam/Freddie came out I was legit weirded out... then I realized that it was because I unconsciously shipped Sam/Spencer. Whoops.

I don't know if I ship it, but I've always thought they had a unique bond. Sort of like, Carly is Sam's best friend, but Spencer is there when her life gets too crazy to handle without an adult.

I think maybe had this not been Nick, there would be a way. I'd love to see it end with them graduating ("the kids") and having a kickass party on the roof that ends with Sam and Spencer kissing on the rooftop.

I haven't given up hope that another network has noticed the incredible chemistry that Jerry and Jennette have and write them a romantic comedy. I think it would be awesome.
