(Anonymous) 2011-09-14 02:29 am (UTC)(link)To me it's absolutely vile, and the fact that the comic always spins her as someone we're supposed to find sympathetic (as opposed to Mike himself, who is a terrible person that we're supposed to recognize as a terrible person even if we like him) make her the most unlikeable person in the comic in my opinion.

(Anonymous) 2011-09-14 04:48 am (UTC)(link)Amber believed she was blackmailing him? I think that ended sometime around the time he told her he loves her. You can go on to argue about how that's just Mike taking a means to an end, but seriously he said it himself, he couldn't pull the trigger in today's comic. Obviously, something was stopping him and that was probably his feelings for Amber.
They are MIKE and AMBER, if you are going to tell me Mike and anyone who likes and supports his evil plans are sympathetic characters then maybe Leslie and Ethan should start hooking up.
