Peter Cullen needs to release audiobooks. This is a valuable merchandising opportunity if we'd be willing to do it and I don't understand why Hasbro hasn't jumped on that.

I was going to suggest that!

They had a great interview with him (http://www.aboutheroes.com/?p=492) on AboutHeroes just before the first new movie came out. Ends up that until he went to his first BotCon, he had no idea that so many people were so into him as Optimus. Like, none. And that's probably because I think while G1 was running he only got one piece of fan mail (I know it never occurred to me to write to a voice actor back then (I was like what, 13 when it came out?), even if I had known who did Prime's voice back then).

The sad/awesome thing about that one piece of fan mail? It was from this kid who was dying of cancer.

Peter called him.

Fuck, that man's awesome. Do send him a note, OP. You can write to any actor c/o the studio/production company they work for (if you can't find a Twitter/LJ/FB listing for them or what). Send him a note, and as Kryptoncat says, let us know if you hear back from him!! :D
