Oooh, I didn't know he was going to watch Buffy! Thanks for the heads-up! I might not read because it's hard for me to handle criticism of My Show, but I'm glad to hear he'll be reviewing.

Mark Oshiro, made internet-famous for his chapter-by-chapter thoughts as he read the Harry Potter books, virtually spoiler-free for the first time. He's since gone on to do other books/TV series. (Or it may have been the Twilight Saga, that got him his fame, but I didn't read that).

He's got a couple different sites now: Mark Watches (http://markwatches.net/reviews/) for TV and movies and Mark Reads (http://markreads.net/reviews/) for book series. One of his projects right now is a re-read of Harry Potter now that he can go into knowing how it all turned out. The original "Mark Reads Harry Potter" was done over at Buzznet (an annoying site if I ever saw one when it comes to finding things) but links to all those posts are on Mark Reads, here. I felt the same way, and I really think he will end up watching said spin-off along with Buffy. And I really wouldn't worry about him not liking it. Seems like his sort of thing. Buffy can take a bit of criticism, if necessary.

I don't think he has plans to watch Angel, as far as I know. Or at least not for review. If he likes Buffy enough, he might watch it on the side and not review it like he did with Torchwood and Doctor Who.

Personally, I am nervous that he won't love Buffy like I do. BUFFY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS EVER OF ALL TIME FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

I only think that Angel is ok though.

Well, I think Angel would be more fun to review, I do hope he considers it, the show needs more exposure/love.
