They really weren't. She plagiarized a lot of lines and even a few paragraphs from different places but the plot was her own and the stories were long. I'm talking thousands of pages long. She might have taken some stuff but it wasn't "nearly all" taken from other sources. Majority of it was her own.

Oh, I'm not her. I think she's a twit. But I get annoyed when people say that practically the entire stories were taken from other sources when that wasn't the case.

I'll be thrilled when people go back to ignoring the whole affair. The FS posts on it piss me off more than anything else, especially when you get people spouting off incorrect information just to jump on a dogpile. Hate CC if you want, I'm fine with it. Hate the fic too, I don't give a flying fuck. But get your facts right if you're going to do it.

I kind of have to agree. I mean, I haven't read the draco in leather pants crap. But I read City of Bones to see what the hype/drama was about, and I really just... couldn't see the correlation to HP. I mean, not any more than any other mediocre YA fantasy novel.

Seriously, if you're going to hate on her, at least hate on her for her droll writing. It's bad *without* the supposed (and questionable) plagiarism.

oh, fuck off with your supposed and questionable. Do you think something like this would be brought up so often without proof? While some people may exaggerate it, she certainly did plagiarize and the breadth of it doesn't change the fact that she did.
I find it so funny that here you are telling off people for hating on her for something without getting facts right while getting your facts wrong.
that said yeah it's pretty terrible with the plagiarism as well as without it. You can see how ooc the HP characters were in her story since CoB is most definitely a retelling of the Draco trilogy and you saw no correlation.
