Dude, yes. I wonder about this too. I mean, if I get published someday, I'll probably shut off my internet because I have an incredibly thin skin and I take things WAY too personally (still working on this, sigh) but I really really would like to know what people talk about when they read my work.

I can see myself getting a secret LJ in addition to my non-secret one so I can be in the fandom without swooping down like a Nazgul to ruin everyone's fun with my author-ness.
