For the record OP, I have no idea what this is, but I understand your use of the word Nakama here.

I too have been reading TVTropes for too long. They recently changed the name of that trope, actually, but I'm not about to call weeabo on something as dumb as that :/ I mean, seriously, if you're a Troper who's been around a while it just comes to mind (at least for me).

This. It's a nice short word to describe a certain bond between the members of a group. Presumably if it had been, I dunno, a French word or something, it would have been ~*~acceptable~*~ to use.
