In Marvel's defense in regards to Sif, the comics did have her as blonde initially. When Loki cut her hair off, he replaced it with enchanted hair, and it turned black.

Did he get his mouth sewn shut for cheating the dwarves, or is that just a fandom thing? And if it's in the comics do you know if it has any basis in mythology, or what?

I don't know if that's in the comics, but it does have a basis in mythology, and it's been referenced in other pop culture sources (I can think of American Gods off the top of my head)

Yes, in the comics he gets his lips sewn shut, just like in the myths. It's discussed in the 2010 4-issue Loki miniseries.

Sif had blonde hair. Loki cut it off. Thor forced Loki to make her a wig made out of gold and thus Sif got her most well-known characteristic, her fucking GOLDEN hair.

...Did you just decide to ignore the part where it was mentioned that this is MARVEL'S CONTINUITY? In other words, Marvel's Sif has black hair because it was replaced with enchanted hair. So Sif in the Marvel movie should have black hair.

MARVEL HAS NEVER CLAIMED TO BE TOTALLY AUTHENTIC TO THE MYTHOLOGY. In fact, they've been fairly upfront about such things.
