What are you talking about? The fandom seems super active to me. There's fanart all over DA and tons of discussion threads on /co/ like every single day. Some of the artists from this show even draw fanart in threads on /co/ from time to time

I could only guess you're looking in the wrong places to find the older people in the fandom, since I know there's always a thread on /co/ and I've seen plenty of 20 (and up)-year-olds who love the show. Adventure Time isn't just a kid's show.

To be fair, it's an episodic show that doesn't take itself too seriously in the first place, and there's not a lot of plot to work with. It would take a really good writer to produce decent fic out of Adventure Time.

I love Marceline/Marshall Lee! There actually is a pretty big fadom on the art side. I've never seen any fic though. I dunno. I'd just like something of Marceline/Marshall Lee doing their roaming thing and having adventures. Nothing super crazy serious, but something fun.
