Because that would not be the way to save Camelot. Uther needs to be taken down, but his illegitimate daughter murdering him, along with everyone else who stands in the way, would not bring peace.

They did do Morgana's development pretty poorly though. She was freaking out over magic, Merlin would not help her, she ran to Morgause because no one else would listen, Morgause put a spell on her, Merlin tried to kill her, but Morgana was "in the wrong" for unknowingly harming Camelot. So of course, with no one to trust in Camelot, she put all her faith in Morgause, who turned her into a cardboard villain.

This it's so annoying. Morganna could have been such a great anti-hero but the writers seem incapbable of writing morally grey conflicts.

Agree, but OTOH, if they were true to the legends (especially the Geoffrey of Monmouth version(s), it wouldn't be family-friendly -- it wouldn't even be PG LOL.
