Ryan has some problems with bisexuality. Hence the fact that Brit was always just "bi-curious" when obviously she was more than that. Really I personally see her as pansexual, seeing as I think she'd gladly date anyone she thought was hot and wouldn't care what anyone else thought. But it's the same with Santana. She said herself that she like both guys and girls but then suddenly lesbian.

The sudden lesbian thing pissed me off so bad. She'd given no indication of being more comfortable sexually or romantically with girls than guys (in fact, I thought she was only attracted to Brittany as far as girls went) until BAM! never mind, sudden strictly lesbian. In my opinion, bisexual was a far more believable label for Santana, but Ryan Murphy is biphobic as hell so yeah. :/

This! Santana really didn't show any indication she had any feeling for any other girl. It would have been a great storyline if it wasn't about labels at all and just about Santana coming to terms with her love of Brittany, where yes Santana freaked out, but more over the fact that she was in love, not who she was in love with. I shall hold my tiny piece of hope that in season 3 Brit will get be all "Don't label me. Whatever, whatever I date who I want."

Oh lord, I hope so. I've just about given up on this show as it is because of the messed up characterizations. It's sad when the fandom has more consistent (or in-depth, in some cases) characterization for the main players than what's given in canon.

After watching the 3D movie I gave up. I couldn't get over the obvious lack of understanding about who the target demographic is. The film (and concert itself) seemed aimed at kids when the vast majority of the audience is over the age of 16. I mean really, having them IC?? Not even High School Musical pulled that bullshit.

yeah, I thought bisexual (or pansexual, now that you mention it) and homoromantic. How nice it would have been to have a show like that delve into the whole sexuality-and-romantic-leanings-can-differ subject. But alas, that show would not be Glee :\

Same here. I have no problem with Santana being a lesbian, because I think it's awesome to have a lesbian character on TV, especially one as great as Santana. There are a lot of women out there who thought they were attracted guys, but realized they they love women, and only women, so it doesn't seem unrealistic to me. I just wish that had been better developed, since it's like one episode she realizes she's confused about her sexuality and the next she's a lesbian. It really bugs me that Kurt gets really well-thought and interesting plot lines, but the queer girls don't.

Agreed. I was really excited when Santana admitted to liking both girls and guys and not wanting to put a label on it, because that was me for a while. And then all of a sudden, nope, just an in the closet lesbian. Though, to be honest I think I was a little more disappointed at the 'insecure in the closet part' than the lesbian part because before that Santana always seemed like the type of girl who was happy to enjoy herself and not take shit from anyone.

Yup. I totally agree that if there had been some development that had gone into her storyline, then it might have come off better, and honestly, the whole thing would not have bothered me anywhere near as bad as it does now had they actually put some thought into how the situation might work. I think it's awesome that Santana's attracted to girls because I would love to see more canon lesbians and bisexual ladies in fiction, but the way they completely ignored her previous attraction to (or at least relationships and/or sex with) guys frustrates me to no end and just perpetuates the myth in media that bisexuals do not exist.
