For me, it was inventing three horrible tortures for The Family, not because they tore up a town and boarding school, but because they cock-blocked him.

For me it was sabotaging Prime Minister Harriet Smith because he didn't like her call. Yup, Ten rubbed me the wrong way right out of the gate.

I never fully liked 10 again after what he pulled on Harriet Smith. I'm just glad she proved she was the better person in the end. Wish she had been able to rub it in 10's face more though. >_>

That one always bothered me as well, because not only did she have a point, that the Doctor isn't always there and Earth needs to be protected when he isn't, but the Sycorax had already proven themselves to not care about honoring their word when their leader attempted to kill him after their duel. What, really, was stopping them from coming back to wipe out humanity, other than the possibility that the Doctor would be there at the same time?

Of course, that wasn't my first episode of Ten (I didn't start watching Doctor Who sequentially, which, of all things, why not?), so that wasn't my initial impression of him, but that wasn't really his shining moment.
