the fact that yuna is the summoner is what could have made it her story but she was just another summoner who would have sacrificed herself for spira. tidus and rikku are the ones who worked their asses off to break the cycle and made the game what it was

Tidus and... Rikku? I dunno, it's been forever since I've played the game, but I seem to remember Rikku being really useless outside of stealing grenades from machine monsters. And for underage ass-shots.

I agree that the gang worked their asses off, but why can't it be her story about being changed and influenced by the people around her? If that's not a factor then there can be no story without the main characters doing everything themselves.

I don't know what the point of this comment is. I'm too biased against Tidus to have a proper opinion. :T

yeah, rikku. the al bhed hated that summoners would sacrifice their lives. she wanted to save yuna just as badly as tidus

it can be her story. but what I'm saying is, that would make for one common ass game.

Um. ALL of Yuna's guardians wanted to save her, not just Tidus and Rikku exclusively, and it sure as hell doesn't jettison Rikku over the other cast because of it (because like I said, EVERYONE wanted to save her).

But ultimately, it is still Yuna's story. She is the summoner, it's her pilgrimage. Tidus and Rikku are just tag-alongs who are aiding her journey in a slightly different way than the average Guardian. But if Yuna suddenly stopper her pilgrimage, the journey would have ended. But if Tidus suddenly left the group, the journey still would have carried on.

yeah, but remember the game. the game, man. what made it different was tidus coming along and ending the cycle. anyone who goes on about how it should have been yuna's story could easily go on about how it should have been dona's story or isaaru's story.
