"Nevada-tan" was a girl from Sasebo, Nagasaki (in Japan) who was 11 years old when she killed her friend/classmate. Supposedly, her friend had called her "fat" on an online forum, and then Nevada-tan called said friend to an empty classroom one day and slit the girl's throat and wrists, then left her for dead.

The reason why the little girl is called "Nevada-tan" is because in a released photo of the girl and her victim, the girl was wearing a blue Nevada sweatshirt, though her face was blotted out.
