Yup, FFXIII-2 is the final nail in the coffin for me. Fuck Nomura and Square Enix. I have no hope of seeing a good FF ever again.

But what about 13 Versus? That one at least looks like it has a chance of being ridicu-awesome. I wish Squeenix would allocate more to them so they could speed up production. Well, perhaps it's for the best Versus comes out a while after 13-2, wouldn't want it to suffer backlash.

Agreed! FFXIII is one of my favorite games, and I'm thrilled for the next installment.

However, I don't have much experience with previous FF games, so am I wrong in thinking FFXIII-2 is going to be smaller in scale than FFXIII? I'd love it if they were equal in size, but I'll take what I can get.

Ok the human forms are kinda badass I'll admit, but the bike is like, embarassing.

They obviously wanted it to look sexii and hott but It just looks awkward with the one on the back like "DON'T MIND ME YOU GUYS, THE FABRIC ON THE BACK OF HIS COAT WILL KEEP ME ENTERTAINED FOR SURE"

I really did enjoy FFXIII. It was the fastest I have ever played an FF game. While it isn't my favorite is holds the number four spot in the list, and I think more people should give it a chance.

Also, best battle theme ever.

I'm not so sure about the equal though. I haven't been excited by what I've seen so far, and I dislike what they did to Lightning's outfit. Do you have a reason to give me hope, Op? I'd love to hear it.

OP here, I'm just going to put this in list format of what I'm really looking forward to that they've added to the sequel that I think most people would consider an "improvement".

More towns, NPC interaction and just generally a bigger world
Multiple endings
Time travel for more exploration and multiple outcomes (the story alters with the player's choices)
"An amusement area (similar to Final Fantasy VII‘s Golden Saucer) with mini-games like Chocobo racing and a casino."
Post-release downloadable content (costumes, weapons, and monster downloads)
Chocobos (including a special red chocobo) that you can ride and fight with
Beautiful soundtrack themes (at least that have been released so far)
Leader change in battle
Using capture monsters as team members in battle
A moogle that turns into a weapon (which you can also throw to get items)
A quest system involving NPCs
Generally more "open world"

Plus it just looks awesome, but that's just my opinion haha. I hope that helps. :)

I loved FF13. Best combat system ever and the tweaks they made (whoo! leader change!) sound like XIII-2 will be even better.

And I liked the characters too. Even Snow. Even Hope. Now if Sazh will show up in a trailer, I'll be completely stoked for this game. :)

I know where you're coming from. I really, really liked XIII, but then again, I don't analyze games to death, so the things that people bring up about why it was so horrible are things I don't really care about. As long as I enjoyed the game, that's all that matters.

I don't mock people for liking it, I get pissed off when people tell me I just 'don't get it' or tell me I'm simply over-analyzing things. I played and finished the game, I don't find myself to be a stupid person. I get it. I just really fucking hated it.
