Everyone treated her exactly the same in the end as in the beginning. Marty, Jan, and Frenchie liked her the whole time. Rizzo had her own issues to deal with and just thought Sandy was a goodie goodie. The T-Birds never really paid much attention to her the whole time with the exception of Danny, who liked her regardless of how she dressed.

Basically this. Danny liked her the whole way through, something a lot of people forget, I think.

MTE. Sandy was the one who chose to give herself the makeover. She is the one who thought it would help her fit in. Danny liked her both ways.

Plus, you could argue that Danny changed just as much (if not more) - he became a jock and even took up running. (He managed to get PE credit for it, which means he had to keep at it for a decent amount of time, too)
