Yet nobody said that when the BBC did theirs a year after the RDJ movie and within a few years of several other TV adaptations. It's butthurt Cumberbatch fans and anti-American sentiment, end of.

Lol, I said it. I wasn't okay with the BBC series until I realized it was a reimagination of the stories in a modern setting, which I thought was cute and original enough to be worth running alongside the movies.

You realize that the movies are American? It's not anti-Americanism. Use your brain kthx.

Um, I'm an American and I love the BBC series and the RDJ movies and I just think we have enough ongoing Holmes adaptations at the moment.
