It's mostly how the fandom plays with their established personality, I think. (Plus the fact most fandoms seem to go crazy over any twins period.) The Black and White games pretty much establish them as opposites in terms of personality but they work extremely well together. Emmet (the white twin) is the smiley joyful one, Ingo (the black one) is the respectful serious one. A lot of people like to get creative with that and the Battle Subway where they work together. Add to that the fact that they just premiered in the Black and White anime. (And this is just a theory, but I think their uniforms have a lot to do with it. A lot of people make them German in fics, and I think that's self explanatory.)

They're pretty handsome and fun characters too in general, except if you actually battle them on the Subway in-game. Then you'll want to throw your DS across the room because it's so hair-pullingly difficult and they can be extremely cheap.

(As for the OP, I understand the first half of your kink. But I would think you'd be more concerned about the fact it includes vore rather than the fact the twins are from Poke'mon, lol. But I've seen weirder kinks about them TBH.)

But i just thought the fact they're from a children's game made it worse, hah, rather than... say... something from an adult survival horror game or something?

Nah, I get ya! My best friend started my love for the twins. On their own they don't get much development but with the anime and the fandom you can do lots of fun things with their characters.

I've played the games, and come on these guys don't have 'established personalities' outside of some really basic anime cliches. The reason people porn them so much is because:

1. They are hot/designed intriguingly
2. They have no personality so you can basically use them as a blank slate for whatever kink you want

I will agree with you about their design. But I disagree that they have no personality. You can argue it's fairly simplistic, maybe even a light twin/dark twin trope, but it's there.

The Best Wishes anime itself expands on what dialogue and personality they were given in the games (though whether or not it was done well is a matter of personal opinion; I'm still waiting to see the episode where the twins battle Ash and Cilan on the Subway in a few weeks). I recommend checking it out if you haven't yet.
