OP first off, stop being so possessive of your 'ideas', humans have been alive and arting for thousands of years, and fandom has been around for about 100 - anything you're going to draw or create has been done, and if so much of your ego rests on being 'the first' to do something then you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. It's ultimate folly to think the only way something can be legitimate is the be the first to do it, especially when fandom relies so heavily on appropriation of someone else's ideas. I mean, that's what fandom IS, is a collaboration of ideas.

If you care so much about being original, go create your own original fic and art instead of something that, by definition is derived from someone else's work.

Besides the fact, these other people could've easily drawn the pics before you and just not posted them, it's not that hard for two people to have the same ideas independently of each other in fandom. Kind of egotistical to assume if something similar shows up that OMG they're copying yoooou!

Worry less about the idea and more about how you execute it - there's no new idea or story, but there are new spins you can put on these things and new ways to tell them that haven't been thought of.

Basically, don't confuse the fact that an idea is new TO YOU with the concept that the idea is new IN GENERAL. Those two things aren't the same at all.
