I read 'Deep Wizardry' first...So when I found 'So You Want to be a Wizard', a small part of me was hoping it was the manual ;_____;

I read Deep Wizardry first too! High-five!

Dairine in High Wizardry describes Nita's manual as reading like a kid's book before she knew what it was. I'm ripping this off the incredibly clever and meta idea for Harry Potter and Muggles in the thread below, but... maybe it actually is a mass-printed version of the manual? In disguise, like. :D

Whooo!! *high five!* And YES your theory is my alternate universe head-canon. The books are the manual. They pull in potential wizards and LEAD THEM TO THE REAL THING EVENTUALLY!
