It's a huge group made up nearly entirely of men...it's a fangirl heaven, hence the reason it's so popular despite the fact most of the characters are one-trick ponies.
Honestly, I like maybe 2 of them, but I cared far, far more about Riku/Sora/Kairi than I ever did the Organization. Hell, I cared about Hayner more than I did the Organization.

This. I liked the Twilight Town gang(Hayner, Pence, Olette)a lot. Which makes me kinda sad that we're probably never going to see them again :(

As for the org., I ship Lexaues/Zexion, since I like the dynamic between them(and for tying into my height kink)and...that's about it, really. I'm actually more interested in finding out about the Org. members somebodies(aka, their "original" selves). Like, how did the non apprentices become nobodies in the first place? Was it by choice? Did they have no other options, and were thus forced to become nobodies? What led to the apprentices going so far as to betray Ansem(I know Xemnas/Xehanort had something to do with it, but we've never really gotten much of a proper explanation as to the hows and why)?Etc.

...i could never get further into the fandom past playing a bit of the first game, because the only org XIII character i cared about was Larxene and the main characters i cared the most about were donald and goofy lmao

I like them just as much as I like most of the other characters, but I don't understand why they seem so much more popular. My interest in them was always mainly because of Roxas (my favorite character). I think part of the appeal, especially before Days, was all the speculation--here's a huge group of people whose stories and personalities are loosely constructed at best and barely implied at worst. It's sometimes fun to take characters like that and use them to make a story that's mostly your own while still being tied to canon.

I didn't care for them either. Except Spear Guy (forgot his name) because goddamn, did he kick my ass. Also, um, the gambler guy. Wow, I completely forgot their names (shows how much I no longer care for the KH series), but I liked them a little bit.

Me too. I started playing KH again recently and I realized what a fun game it was and that Organ.XIII wasn't that bad until I remembered that it's saturated in CoM and KH2, and the other games. =(

I just wish the story was more focused. You have Disney and a FF-ish story and then later on Roxas (Sora) and then they forget about Disney. o_o;

They were a good idea gone bad if you ask me. I never understood the big deal about them when hardly any of them got ample development or screen time. Axel was an obnoxious brat too.

I liked them as they were, a group of quirky one-shot villains. They were fun bosses who were kind of entertaining in cutscenes. Beyond that I didn't care about any of them. They're hardly worth caring about. Just a bunch of shallow, expendable characters. Some might even say they're nobodies *rimshot*

I liked them best when they were just hooded, mysterious figures. The technicolor hair and pretty-boy features kind of ruins the whole 'evil organization' schtick for me just a tad.

I thought they were pretty cool until the tween fangirls got to them and wrote so much poorly written kawaii desu fanfiction.

Then again, that's pretty much 75% of the KH fandom right now, huh?
