I don't know what this fic is about, but yeah, I'm all judging you for letting it affect your RL job. Get a spine, OP. Learn the difference between reality and fantasy.

I don't really know why you're being so harsh. The same thing happens to other people all the time after they, say, watch a scary movie or something. Heck, I remember watching "IT" when I was 15 and I couldn't walk near sewers for weeks. I'm sure OP will get over it eventually.

The difference being that the OP is probably over the age of 16 if they're working. They're an adult. They need to put their life in perspective.

I do know what fic it is about, even though I'm not in the fandom. If I associated it with my job I'd be pretty damn unnerved, and I don't think I'm that easily freaked out by fanfic.

(And the OP doesn't say she's missing work or doing a bad job, so I'm withholding judgment.)

It involves murder and cannibalism among other things. I didn't read that much of it, just a little bit to see what was so bad and even that I regret.

I'm not sure if the fact that it's about cute little ponies made it any worse, but it didn't help.
