From my brief time in the Japanese bandom, I have to say: yeah, sounds like exactly this.

As for the prostitution: Shaming sex workers for their job = not cool. I don't know what the circumstances were, but it was her right to do whatever she wanted with her body.

I agree entirely about your view on prostitution. I just mean that, if you really needed something to be upset about, one should be able to say that much 'I don't really like that they are _____'. Don't go around shaming, but they don't have to be all happy frills and whistles about it.

In the end, their entire secret is rude.
