Exact same thing here! When I cut my hair short a lot of teachers reacted by saying "... was that intentional or an accident?" and I was called boy-ish a lot, but like you, I don't care! In fact, I think short hair feels incredibly good, and I've never felt as good as when I shaved the back off.
And for some reason men love it. Every short-haired girl I know (including me) get so many compliments from guys saying "omg I LOVE your hair!"

Oh man, my favorite part of going to the hair salon now is when the razor shaves my hair off. *lol* I don't even know why.

But yeah. All my guy friends, after they got over their shock of seeing it short (in their defense, it had been almost down to my waist when I made the decision to cut it all those months ago), absolutely loved it. I work in a doctor's office, and pretty much any male patient that remembered me complimented my hair. Some of my more "traditional" coworkers couldn't understand why I did it, but honestly? I did it for myself, not for them. I really like it short. I intend on keeping it short. And I plan on rocking it short.
