It's disrespectful and ignorant, but honest. You can't tell trans men from cis women a lot of the time, just by looking at someone, if no hormones/surgery have been started. Most of those cis queer girls will likely learn how to express and not express attraction appropriately in due time.

Eh, even if you can't tell the difference by looking (I usually can, but most people don't actively look for subtleties), it's generally clear once you actually talk to someone and, like, know their name and stuff. Most women who objectify trans men know exactly how the guys identify, they just don't take them seriously.

At this point, is there anyone left in America who doesn't know Chaz is a dude?

Chaz is well into transition isn't he? He just plain looks like a dude. I'm thinking women who are into pre-everything trans men. And like I said, disrespectful, but honest. Some do figure out that you just don't go there, others keep being disrespectful.

You're right, most women-fancying women who have a thing about trans men are into the ones who still have obviously female-shaped bodies, and Chaz is obviously post-transition - I don't know, I was just trying to find a vaguely charitable way out for the OP. More likely she was just being a tad thoughtless, which is a bad idea if she's got any clue what f!s is like.
