I like the look, I'll admit, but my current history professor has this and all I can do is D:

I think it's a requirement for (male) history profs. That and elbow patches. When I had history profs who didn't have it (which was rare), I was always like "poseur!"

Oh god, now that I think about it, he has the elbow patches, too (granted, I think all of my other history profs had elbow patches on their suit jackets for class, but the one guy I have now is the only one with the white/grey hair on the side thing). Maybe male history professors are like the Borg or some sort of strange clique.
