Why would you make this when you're only halfway through the book? I'm about halfway through myself and your reaction is understandable (though really, so is his, given... well, just about everything. Do you expect all characters in all settings to act like they're from Fandom on Livejournal, 2011?), but it's pretty obvious his views are going to change during the rest of the book.

No, I don't, but his reaction is only understandable if you view him as being absolutely self-absorbed and selfish. Deryn's secret was hers, for her own personal reasons. He tried to make it all about him, claiming that she didn't trust him, when there were far larger issues at hand. That self-absorption makes sense when you take into account that he's a privileged prince with no experience of struggling at a job and handling money, or much experience with women. (Makes sense and understandable, maybe, but hardly forgivable.)

I don't know how far you are into the book, and I'd rather not spoil you one way or the other (unless you'd rather be spoiled) about the outcome of their tangled relationship. Suffice to say that I had to put the book down when I got to that moment, because I was so fucking steamed at how unfair he was being, and focus that anger into something constructive before I could pick it back up and finish it.
